Classes at The University of Southern Mississippi’s Hattiesburg campus have been cancelled for Monday, July 11 in anticipation of Hurricane Dennis’ scheduled landfall. Only essential personnel are required to report to work on Monday. Classes will resume Tuesday, July 12.
Southern Miss Gulf Coast operations will be closed today, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, in preparation for Hurricane Dennis and again on Monday, July 11. Classes will not meet from Saturday through Monday on the Gulf Coast and are tentatively scheduled to resume Tuesday.
“Preview,” the orientation session for new and transfer students at Southern Miss, will proceed on the Hattiesburg campus as scheduled today, July 9. However, students and parents unable to attend can reschedule for either of two additional “Preview” sessions on July 14 and July 23.
