Tom Lansford's secretary just told a friend of mine that Lansford had turned down the position of interim Coast associate provost. Who else would it thus be logical to assume had been ofered the job? My vote would be for Denise VonHerman and I'd have thought she'd have been offered it first. Who else? How about that historian who used to be academic dean of Tulane University College, what's his name Campanella? Camposi? Any other bets?
Is it safe to assume that the resignation of KM, and the subsequent refusal of someone else to take his job when offered, are both further bits of evidence of Shelby's lame duckitude? Why would ANYONE want to take a senior administrative position while Shelby is still president?
