Spoke with a SACS contact yesterday who reminded me of the "suggestion" that no new programs be launched until the '06 visit is resolved.  This may not qualify as a degree, but it is an emphasis area (according to reports) and thus constitutes something new.

If the Southern Association frowns on this new emphasis area, we can always to to the next level by soliciting endorsement from the National Association, can't we?

I remember the SACS dictate myself.  Now, it does look like Thames is being reasonable and Doty is itching for a fight.
