JIM YARBROUGH NAMED MEN’S HEAD BASKETBALL COACH

Southeastern Louisiana University officials announced today that Jim Yarbrough has been named men’s head basketball coach. The hiring is pending approval of the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana system.

Yarbrough (41), a two-time National Association of Basketball Coaches South Region Coach of the Year, comes to Southeastern following a successful five-year tenure (2000-05) at Valdosta State University where he led his squad to a 97-42 (69.8%) overall record and two NCAA Division II National Tournament appearances.
