We talk here often about closing one or more of MS's universities. I beginning to think that the US should simply shut down the State of Mississippi and move on.

Leave the state open. Shut down the professional athletic programs on the campuses of public universities.

Excellent idea. That would have the added benefit of relieving me from paying federal taxes. Yeah, Mississippi could be sort of an Oak Grove or Petal among the states. Great idea. I like it.

Dis a great idea. I vote to annex the southern part to Louisiana so us Cajuns can expand. De northern part can go to Tennessee and Alabama can have de rest if dey wants it.
