The Super Regionals are underway. Nebraska has already beaten Miami in Game 1, while Tennessee is trying to close out a win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Hopefully Tech can come back and take the victory.
We will follow SR action tomorrow, as the Longhorns invade Oxford to take on Ole Miss. There should be too much history and tradition on the Texas side for the Rebels to have a chance in this one.
The Editorial
We have read with interest the demening comments about Coach E's girlfriend here. There's no doubting it --- she's hot. She's the best evidence you need to see how good a recruiter Coach E is (sorry Dennis Franchione for stealing your line about your wife). Coach E brough Rashaad Carruth to Hattiesburg, a former McDonald's All-American. The guy can recruit. That's the C-P R take.
Congrats on choking in your super regional. Needing only one more victory, the mighty Rebs proceeded to lose two straight on their home turf. Better luck next year (well maybe not since you lose most of your team to graduation or the pros).

What's the score of Mississippi Southern's Super Regional Game??? Oh, yeah, that's right! Mississippi Normal didn't even win a game in the regional! How 'bout them big Black Bears from Maine??? Hotty Toddy!

Yes, and what was the outcome of the Mississippi State Super Regional? I think your team has been tippin' cows for at least a week, now. By the way, how is Ron "Switch Hitter" Polk enjoying his Bulldog Baseball camps...all those young boys...guess today's Michael Jackson verdict was a relief for him.
Bulldog Blitz is really several other people, all USM fans. USM hasn't seen a Super Regional, and likely never will.
The team they call their "rival" --- Tulane --- is proceeding to win about 15 games more this year that USM has ever won in a single year in the history of their program. I bet down in the NO they say Rice and LSU and La---Lafayette are their rivals, not USM.
I'm puzled how you come up with 15 games more than USM has ever won.
Tulane has currently won 55 games this year, Southern Miss won 47 in 2003, a difference of only 8. If Tulane breezes through the College World Series undefeated, it will finish the season with 60 wins, if it loses a game but still wins the national championship, it will win 6 games at the most and finish the season with 61 wins. That's very rare for a college baseball team to pull off.
Also, I fail to see how Tulane would consider Rice a rival when the two teams have rarely played each other in the past. This ear was the first time in 10 years that the two schools have played each other.
Correction and other aren't interested in facts. Just the next way to bash Southern Miss.

If Tulane wins the CWS, it will have 60 or 61 wins, which is 13 or 14 more than USM's best ever total. 13 or 14 are both pretty close to 15. Regardless, the poster said "about" 15 games, which means approximately 15 games.
Also, whether you like it or not, Tulane and Rice are poised to be the class of the new C-USA. USM had better get some of that McGwire juice if it wants to compete with the kind of high-quality play that was showcased in the New Orleans Super Regional.
I was struck by the size of the Tulane players as I saw them compete so far in the post season. They clearly appreciate the weight room much more than USM does. The Tulane approach is clearly paying dividends, and the Eagles are going to have to step it up to keep up with the Tulanes and Rices.

That has been the case the last few years with Tulane having huge players. I did find it interesting that former Tulane All-American James Jurries was suspended from the Braves organization for steriod use. Not saying anything just check out the link:
