Ok guys, it seems after my first post here in a couple of days that someone off and called me a troll. Now, this is not the first time the term has been lobbed in my direction here, so I just have to know?

Do you guys consider me a Troll? Be honest, I am a big boy, I can take it.

Well, maybe if I work really hard, put in the overtime and offend enough people I can work my way up.

Sorry, Seeker, but you aren't a troll. I hope this isn't too devastating.

You see, you actually defend your statements & make sense over time. You don't much engage in the old ad hominem & truth be told, your spelling is no worse than Stephen Judd's.

Contrarian? Yes. Unpopular opinions? Sure. But I don't think your overarching goal is to disrupt or destroy this group.

Again, I hope you're not too disappointed that I don't think you are a troll.

Ah, how soon we forget. Does no one else remember the mean-spirited remarks he used to make about women (specifically, single mothers) on the Fire Shelby board? And how he used to blame specific faculty members for the problems at USM? Perhaps he is a reformed troll, but a troll nonetheless.

Prof. Judd can spell. He just can't type!

Some of us are just too busy trying to understand the recently revealed connection between Green Hornet, Monique de Guerre, Hermione Angleterre, Judge Cooley, and Seeker.  Just when I thought I had it all sorted out...

Judge Cooley??? Did I miss something???? Is he back? I sure do miss that guy. I imagine he is on Mlle de Guerre's list of Gentleman callers. And I bet he never goes sockless.

Note to foot soldier: as a married gentleman, of course Judge Cooley is an Honorary Gentleman Caller.

Of course. That goes without saying, ma'am.

ouch!

Actually Invictus, blame my finger please . . .  and the fact that I am still a hunt and peck typist after all these years . . .  the fingers just can't keep up with the flow . . . .

But I agree that Seeker is not a trool, although there are times when he seems deliberately obtuse . . .  but I will assume it to be al in good fun.

Hmmm... I sure wish my prof in the old "Advanced Expository Prose" course would've accepted the "my fingers malfunctioned" excuse for all my speling errers.

Seeker, you are not a troll. You are full of youthful enthusiasm, have a less than fully developed understanding of the world of academics, and possess strongly held opinions, which you share freely. Time and experience will wrought change in all of these aspects of your life as it has in many of us of a more advanced age.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Seeker is an Administrator of an ancillary part of USM, and he works on campus?

Are you asking if we have considered the possibility that the story  Seeker gives about working in Richmond is contrived? I wouldn't know about that, but I do believe it is possible that Seeker may eventually obtain employment at USM. Family ties in employment decisions sometimes appear to be important in employment matters here. Seeker appears to be well connected.
