Odd place for a party since Powell is not a member of AAUP because he is an administrator.

What an odd statement.  Professors are still professors even when they are administrators.  University presidents are sometimes members of AAUP.

You bet, Jameela. I've known scores of administrators elsewhere who are AAUP members. AAUP supports academic freedom pure and simple. Matters not whether one is an administrator or a faculty member.
