It appears as though USM will be singing in the rain & swinging in the wind for two years. Would the IHL subject Ole Miss and Mississippi State to such treatment?

No. A thousand times no. The IHL would treat neither of those schools that way. USM has been treated as the proverbial red headed stepchild.
