Pardon me but I have to disagree with Who is Who on Exline. Ouiche! (Not likely) She is her own worst enemy but is also a foe of anyone who stands in her way, blind ambition, oh yes. Do not become too comfortable with her, be warned. She is a snake, albeit as you say, a "helpful fix it snake"....she told you she was a snake when you picked her up. Or at least the people in CoH and especially speech/hearing and nursing can tell you with ample examples of her "bites".... I am in a wonderful mood-- We have won, albeit a partial victory, yes I would have liked to have seen SFT canned and publicly humiliated for what he has done to USM, to Frank, to Gary, to all of us, but this is Mississippi and compromise was the BEST we could realisticallly hoped for under the present IHL. I am ecstatic, I doubt seriously that SFT will be going after anyone for the next two years, he has been declawed and ...well, you get the graphic. As for his henchPERSONS, one would wonder what their motivations would be for retaliation and revenge, waht would they gain other than making it even harder to get future jobs OR staying at USM to face the ones who are left. The old adage, watch who you kick in the face going up the ladder, they are the same faces you have to look at climbing down...
So, let's not be such buzzsaws of joy and celebrate like its 2005 May, if just for a while. We have been abused, tortured, and ALMOST hopeless--BUT we have survived (let's hear it Mitzi Gaynor ). and are stronger....we are still here and THEY are gone..with few exceptions. And "they" will pay (and already have) in dividends for the immorality they have displayed, maybe not instant karma, but karma nevertheless. I have always believed that, just wasn't completely sure I would live to see the consequences of all this very bad and unethical behavior. They have done it to themselves, as someone posted, if Frank had just ignored the envelope (he couldn't because he is NOT like them, he is moral and ethical), if Thames had done the right thing(and he seeminly couldn't do this due to his character flaws and ego) by adknowleging the possibility of impropriety on Angie's part, all could have been avoided and SACS could have been a priority.....and
Ok, it didn't happen the way we would have hoped for in our fantasy, but then did we reallly think it would? HERE? But we are HERE together on a message board that is going strong, one year ago I thought we would fade. Who could have hoped it would end this way? Well I for one and glad that it has ENDED!!! ANd without a four year contract, I can live with this, I am NOT afraid of him, I am not afraid of this administration, what can they do to any of us? Freedom, and not just another word for nothing left to lose...we have seen what we had to lose, and have lost it. Yes, we have much to do, but in two years (maybe less, I have faith in our new IHL President!) how bad can it be???
I am celebrating tonight, even if I am alone typing on my computer with a diet Coke...our time to celebrate in the open will come...none too soon. C'est parti, mon kiki! I'll spring for the un kil, from my big pay raise, say where and when, Monique de Guerre?
From ne pas en rater une....
(please pardon my butchered French, high school was a very long time ago!)
Joe Paul is a colleague from my USM days as a student. I assumed he was hanging around for retirement and was fairly neutral. What do you mean by his behavior?

Joe knew what was going on, and because of his time on the school board, had some cache in town. He could of spoken up. But not only did he not speak up, he was part of the group that bashed Myron for the work of the faculty senate.
