I remember that little "Love Is" character! Mom, you don't like the drawing probably -- it's an adaptation of an old cartoon character from way back. The original had hair. I used to have a whole batch of them. Sigh.

You misunderstood me. On most days my 6-year old can admit he is wrong when he makes mistakes without blaming someone else and say that he is sorry--unlike Thames. I was not trashing See More. I am a great fan of See More!

I have observed that more and more comments posted on the board are being misinterpreted. Not just yours, Mom. Consientious posters have sometimes been mistaken for trolls. Even some of those with similar interests have clashed. I don't know if this phenemonon is because of despair or because of the suspiciousness that has taken hold of our campus.

Sometimes posts are, like Mom's, ambiguously worded--and a brief exchange clears it up. Things are compounded significantly because trolls often make phony posts, such as the "article" from the Enterprise-Journal earlier today about a Thames rally in McComb. When any given post might just be a trick, it is just common sense to approach all with a dollop of skepticism. "When they're really out to get you, it ain't paranoia any more."

I did not mean to imply that the super supiciousness surrounding USM is not based in reality. "Look over your shoulder" is an essential survival strategy in the present environment there.
