Jo Dee Messina's song "My Give a Damn's Busted" hit me this morning - it echo's my feelings about Shelbo....

Love it. Love that song. Helped me through a personal situation. Sometimes you gotta back up and decide what you have the time and energy to give a damn about.

Here is one for the faculty to relate to:  Twisted Sister and WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT anymore.  "We'll fight, you'll see, we're not gonna take it anymore"


Deafened,  you can hear and understand those words in We aren't gonna take it,  loud and clear.  Somebody really oughta put that on and play it through a PA system in the dome.  He might get the message.  Then again.................

Didn't the military once blast such music into enemy territory in order to demoralize and weaken them? If they didn't, they should have. Your idea of using it here is an excellent one. The content of the music, or the quality of the musicianship, would be irrelevant, as long as it was very LOUD

But not loud enough to disturb the peace or violate any noise ordinances. A volume lower than the students use on those boom boxes they carry around with them on campus would be more than sufficient. Just enough to get their attention without creating a nuisance.
