In reading news online this morning I came across this description of a person in a position of power and how they spin and/or manufacture good "news."  It describes how Shelby works, such as in his "Update," pretty darn well:

1. Something Happens.

2. Spin immediately and hard that it is the greatest thing EVER!

3. Say it is because of Dear Leader.

4. Move on to next over-the-top declaration of Dear Leader's greatness before anyone notices what happened is not the greatest thing ever, but actually made little or no difference and may have even made things worse.

5. Blather, Rinse, Repeat!

Sounds like the flipside of this old coin:

Bad decision, lie, cover-up, repeat the cycle.

Yes, I thought of your wise words, Topple, when I read Angeline's post.

Please explain yourself young man. Your statements are usually much less ambiguous than that.

You are right about the blame part. But it was your statement that things have "definitely worked better" since then that puzzled me. How so?

SBT blamed Fleming for the SACS screw up. interesting that Fleming was part of the SACS task force that came up with the standards in 2001 that we failed in 2004. Everytime SBT tries to lay blame on others, the truth finds him out and he looks like a blithering idiot.
