Drat, they've changed the format apparently so that it just shows percentages and not the total number of votes cast.

He hasnt won an actual election yet. Not even when he put his agenda to the test of the entire city. Guess what. It doesnt matter. He'll lose all the elections and keep his throne. The soviet union died and went to the real siberia: here.

At the top of the HA front page, there is a 3:51 pm Breaking News Update that indicates no decision were made today and none likely to be made at the next IHL board meeting.

Hey - I just figured out that if you clear the cookies on your browser (tools...internet options...) you can vote as many times as you want! I'm voting for Daddy this evening...all evening. Don't you wish IHL votes were that easy!

Is the poll closed? It doesn't have the place to vote now, just a bar graph with percentages of the vote. What the h*ll is this high (30 something percent) vote to keep SFT in office? All the other HA polls have been overwhelmingly in our favor. Something's weird here....

So basically the poll (or any such poll) is invalid. I know how to clear cookies too, and so do most of us.

As the standard disclaimer for the polls at Slashdot states, "This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane."

How right you are, Invictus. However, the average reader is probably unaware of this. We made a noble effort--lobbed up a couple hundred votes in a couple of hours--not too shabby. They shut down the polling early--maybe 8 p.m. I wonder how this compares with their usual cutoff.
