Some of the folks on your respective lists are staff members. Are we sure that we have an accurate accounting of departures by staff?? I know of several that have left that are not on either list.
We don't have a full accounting of staff. There are dozens and dozens and dozens of secretaries, custodial people, physical plant people, etc. that have left. The ones on our list fall in academic administration type positions, such as fundraising, PR, directors of centers, etc. I would like to do a separate staff list, but the thought of that is scary. I can't imagine how many hundreds would be involved over the last 3 years.
I'm glad to be listed, because I did leave -- in part -- because of the ascendency of Dr. Thames. There were other factors as well, including a serious family situation, but that was the tipping point. It would be good to solicit all the staff departures if possible, bearing in mind that most staff are less mobile (more likely to be local residents) and many work for the tuition benefit for their kids.

State employees may find this interesting. Insurance coverage for dependent college age students is only good if the dependent student is attending an accredited university...
