USM Provost General Leonardo Letitride announced a new program designed to recruit convicted felons to enroll at the university."We feel we are the  school for folks who need a second chance,"he noted."We have an excellent affirmative action plan that allows minorites who forgot to do much academic work in high school a new lease on life.Tutors are available for athletes who need a helping hand with the books. We've even got a nice tenure system in place that keeps faculty from ever having to worry about needing a second chance! If things haven't worked out in the past for you,we're the folks to see."
