None of these bodies is likely to understand academic administration.

Are the heads of other public agencies in Mississippi evaluated in this manner? I doubt it. What is so different about the university system that has led to this proposed evaluation system? If there is something wrong with USM (and there is plenty wrong), it should be corrected. But putting ointment over the entire body just to heal one flea bite seems to be somewhat of an overkill (Metaphor).

I suppose this means that USM is #1 again:

Thames said he welcomes Crofts' report.

"As a matter of fact we were the first university in the state to invite him to come down and see all the things we've got going down here."

Wrong metaphor. This ain't no flea bite. USM is being repeatedly savaged by a rabid wolf in the dome.

As I expected, Thames won't be criticizing the new presidential evaluation process in public.

Too bad there aren't any flies on the wall to report what he's saying about it in private.
