I try not to relinquish my ticket stub. The way things are going here these days, USM ticket stubs might be a rare and valuable eBay commodity one of these days.
Actually, I have been at tailgate parties in the past where guys handed everyone several tickets with orders to either give them to people who needed them or have them all collected when we entered the stadium. I personally have accounted for as many as eight people on "turnstile count" for a single game
Yes, we have good student athletes; but frankly, I believe that they are hurt more by the library not being able to purchase books than my family and I no longer buying season tickets (that money would purchase some much needed library books). Having graduated from a Big Ten university where football really meant something, I was proud to read in my alumni magazine that the library there is undergoing a huge expansion. A truly excellent university can have well supported athletic teams AND a truly world class library. Remember Shelby saying he hadn't been in a library for some 20 years and didn't see why we (USM) needed one?? There is a world classless university president for you.

KK--
I thank you for your answer, and as far as I know, you are right: those are the published numbers. You accept them (as do I); but others are skeptical.
I doubt that the skeptics will be able to "prove" you wrong. Indeed, I don't even think they are trying to; they are just expressing their skepticism of figures offered by the administration.
