To help cut down on the number of "kickings" (I use the term metaphorically), which are indeed cluttering the board, may I suggest that we all use the thread I have just created as a way of calling attention to other threads we consider important? We can all just copy-and-paste the URLs of those threads into this one? If we do this, the only thread we will ever have to kick to the top will be the present one. In a moment I will use this thread for the intended purpose, thus providing an example of the procedure I have in mind.

For any reader looking for the positive accomplishments of Shelby Thames, here's a thread that makes clear how he has actually been the done more to improve the future quality of higher eduation in Mississippi than just about any other person alive:
I had almost forgotten how many great post there are on this board. When I opened the site this morning there was so little serious activity that I was feeling let down and discouraged. Your idea gives me new hope and it is a great way to find old, meaningful post quickly. Thank you again.
