Details are still being gathered for the Nikki Davis Maute article about the violent protest at Dr. Drews' office. Chief Wynn has signed statements, and he is working with Dean Pood to achieve an out-of-court solution to the situation that is satisfactory to the Drews. Word is that they are coming to a mutual agreement involving one to three liberal arts faculty who were there.
There is a big evening gathering at the President's Mansion this weekend (I hear the food will be delicious). Organizers and participants at the business supporters meeting last week will report to President Thames, and he will have news for them.

Caterer, you seem to be the most transparent and naive troll I have seen on this board. You have given yourself away once again. An out of court solution would not be negotiated by a dean unless the dean was involved. Go away.
I was hoping we would just ignore this guy instead of teaching him how to refine his trollishness. However -- the university would not be empowered to "settle" a criminal case, particularly one which happened off-campus and involved private individuals. Once again, I seriously, seriously doubt any such event occurred.
However, fellow posters, don't discount the possibility that some of the supposedly stupid and naive trolls are actually accomplishing quite a lot. They are pulling out information and connections. Every time they say "thus and so ridiculous event happened or is about to happen" we all jump in and say, "no, because I know that . . ." and thus reveal more than we realize about our sources and connections. For example, I know one fact that pretty much blows his assertion out of the water, but to state that fact would reveal something about the people I talk to. Let's be aware that the stakes are high in Shelby's fun & games, and be wise as serpents. Knowledge is power.

Good point, TW. I have to agree, by the way, that caterer is one of the most laughable, ridiculous trolls who has ever visited this board. Must be a troll-in-training.
Way back on Fire Shelby, there was discussion of the message board being like a party at Fire Shelby's house, complete with spinach dip. I keep hoping caterer will supply some. Much more useful than his/her usual fare.

From Elliott Pood:
"I have had absolutely NO contact with anyone about any event at Dr. Drews Office. I am not negotiating with anybody regarding any Liberal Arts faculty, nor would I become involved in any such negotiations. Why would I have ANY role in such a thing? I have, to the best of my knowledge, NEVER had a conversation with Chief Wynn about anything to do with faculty at this university. As far as I know, this whole thing is PURE FICTION and you are free to quote me on this."

No need for Caterer to attend. I make one hellacious spinach dip. *wink* However, if we plan to play "pin the tail on the a$$" then, yes, having Caterer attend would be great. (Non-violence disclaimer: any game of "pin the tail on the a$$" will use duct tape to affix the tail. No pins, needles or other prickly implements shall be used.)

Not really his b'day (I don't think). It's a popular culture reference...can't remember the name of the song, but the little Truths love to sing it (Go, Mommy! It's your birthday!)
