Please tell me why no one affliated (past or present) with USM's School of Nursing will talk to the media? Don't you know that it's the only way to get your story out? Take a page out of Dean Doty's book and go on record, for crying out loud! What have you got to lose at this point?
It's hard to help the folks in Nursing if they won't help themselves...please talk! We are on your side and want to help, but we can't unless someone is willing to come forward.
There is no way to reverse the decline of the School of Nursing unless you're willing to talk to the press about the damage Shelby Thames is inflicting on the nursing program. Keeping quiet guarantees more damage to the program.

Actually, Robert, there may be another way:
Earlier on another thread, someone suggested that Kevin Walters might want to talk with some of the Nursing faculty at William Carey College, the one's who have left USM for greener pastures. That may lead to a flood of information coming forth, once the dam is broken just a little. The WCC faculty have little or nothing to lose as SFT is not in control of them.

I spoke to K.W. recently. He has all the information on Nursing supplied by this board. He is now snowed under with information. The question is will he have time to put everything together before he leaves. He is helping to get another reporter up to speed on all the issues. Look for a long article on the Library soon. I think there may be much more to these stories than we realize and he has just so much space. Deciding what to cut can be difficult. Finally, there are other important stories in the great metropolis of ours that need reporting, so he can't work only on USM.
Thanks for keeping us "in the loop" as far as KW goes. I just hate to see him go at a time like this. He has been, in my opinion, both passionate and unbiased on this whole story, attempting to get thoughts and opinions from both sides whenever possible.

Apparently, they won't talk either. No one will talk. Will anyone help to save Nursing?
