In his comments at the meeting, Mixon said opponents' attempts to "unseat (Thames), in my opinion, is only one step in a much more ambitious agenda."
He also said the meeting was not held to "bash professors" although Mixon criticized some comments posted anonymously on the American Association of University Professors Web site calling for violence against meeting organizers.
1. What is the "more ambitous agenda?"
2. Where is a post that calls for violence? I don't remember any. If one is here, don't these people understand irony?

My perception -- which may be wrong -- is that Mr. Mixon & the core group of "community business leaders" view those who oppose SFT as opposing the ability of a small group of people to control the leadership of a large public institution. By alluding to, but not providing the specifics of, "a more ambitious agenda," Mr. Mixon was playing to the fears of those present. They could simply imagine whatever horrible scenario they wanted to & the desired result would be achieved.

I don't recall any. But since this is an open board & anyone may post here, almost anything could be "planted."
Also, due to the large volume of posts on this board, it would be virtually impossible for an "interested newcomer" to verify the truthfulness of Mr. Mixon's statement. For all we know, he was speaking sincerely, having been told (perhaps by the same source that provided all those great stats) that posts had advocated violence & simply couldn't verify it himself.
Perhaps someone who attended the meeting can say whether Mixon provided print-outs from the board to support this statement.
Conclusion: Would you buy a used car from this man?

What about the call for violence? I can't find any.
