To those who so accurately posted the events of this evening, please accept my congratulations as you have earned the highest respect from many members of the business community who attended the meeting.
During conversations after the meeting, it became apparent to many that information presented lacked any factual data for comparative analysis.
Does anyone know the names of the presenters and where these people received the information that was so poorly presented as "fact."
USM faculty and staff, please be assured that many of us came away with more questions than answers and grave concerns about the administration at USM.
We were requested to contact IHL, and will do so, however, to express concern rather than support of the current administration.
If there were many in the room like you, perhaps the purpose of the meeting will backfire. I hope that the business community, the students and Mississippi do not suffer on account of the mismanagement of Shelby Thames. SFT was such an asset to everyone (Mississippi, the students, and the business community) in his polymer science lab, but such a liability in the office of the president.
