This could be a red herring. Don't put it past the current administrtation to use "disinformation" to get the anti-Thames folks upset and then for the pro-Thames troops to use our posts here as ammunition against the anti-Thames supporters. For example, the pro-Thames group could criticize us for not questioning the original post but going on "rumor(s)". Truthfully, I lean toward a hoax, but ... this info does feed what most of us want to see happen - the university community waving goodbye to Thames and company.
I am glad that Stephen Judd asked Pood if he was on the agenda. Thank you, Stephen. But...can Pood be trusted to tell the truth? This is the person who can contradict himself a minimum of three times in less than thirty minutes.
The people on this board have learned the hard way to take everything with a big grain of salt. We remember "gurunburg" only too well. I think the case has been made effectively that this is probably a hoax. I notice that some posters don't seem to read upstream very well. But, in this case, as we have been saying -- the hoax is probably more true than the "truth"
Stirring the pot, stirring the pot. Eye of newt, fragment of earlier post. Watch the timing, throw in a few shreds of info. Stir, stir, stir. Then move to Texas...

I believed him. The rest of you will have to make your own judgements. I just wanted to share the denial. The logic to me is also strong -- clearly word will leak out about who is attending the meeting. I don't think any administrator at this point can afford to get caught in a lie that big with his faculty . . . .
But that is my own logic and certainly has no more weight of judement than anyone else's.
