Can someone post the Dean's advisory council for Arts and Letters please. There you will see Pud has no interest in arts or letters. There was no one who majored in literature, language, philosophy, or history on his council. He has no committment to the liberal arts so he should be sure to blow the world a coke
But I also agree the agenda is bogus. Look at Coffman's topic. Although this may actually be the REAL agenda, I doubt it's the one that will be published.
And good morning to you Stephen, mon ami. Get back to work. You have another fifteen minutes before you have earned your day's pay.

If USM officials organize, facilitate, speak or otherwise participate in this "private" meeting, and the names of or reference to Gary Stringer and Frank Glamser are mentioned in any way pertaining to USM's botched personnel action against them, I would view this as a serious breach and personnel matter violation.

Stolen:
If you can get this to Kevin Walters, I am sure he'd love to see it in the orginal.
What the devil would Dews know about the "New look at SACS and the Doty-Grimes Conflict"? Anything Pood would contribute about the Doty-Grimes conflict would be based on his own opinion. Keep in mind that many on this board have pointed out that Pood wants to be Provost. He will do anything to help him achieve this goal.
So many of the participants in this are big (and I mean big) supporters of athletics. Academics is secondary to them. I truly hope that this alleged agenda is a hoax!

Excellent point!

I agree. It would be a serious breach, except that the terms of the agreement stipulate "no public comments" & the Thursday night gig is a private party.

So does Gandy. So will Gandy. Gandy has a better shot - especially with ED in his college, external candidates looking at USM with disdain, and Grimes out of the running. This agenda is a hoax but it's not a bad representation of Shelby's strategy.
I dont' think it is a hoax. Please explain what I am missing. There are several reason I believe it to be factual, but I don't want to jump out there and make a fool of myself and the little bit of logical brain I have left.
Can't Coke stockholders get into the meeting? I would think seeing how their executives (Brian) are behaving and how their own facilities are being used is a legit reason to be allowed inside.

But the Lions Club and the Rotary Club are "private" organizations also. If such comments were made before those groups, it would do doubt be considered breach. I don't think that just because the forthcoming Coke Plant meeting is a "by invitation only" affair protects the university in any shape, form of fashion.

I think you may be corect. Otherwise, those two profs could speak their hearts out before private civic groups, and I am sure they would not do that. Just because a university administrator becomes a Coca Cola cowboy for an evening doesn't not mean the muzzle is lifed.

True after a fashion, but you're reaching. The Lions & Rotary clubs are "private" organizations, but they do not prohibit nonmembers from attending their meetings. In fact, they encourage it.
Will a person who is not on the invitation list be granted entry to the Thursday night meeting? If so, what's holding everyone here back from attending?
I think a better analogy would be the Masonic lodge. What's said in lodge meetings is not "public."

Just got a confirmation from Pood that this agenda is not one he knows about -- he denies that he has anything to do with it and would not if invited.
FYI.

But a unviersity administrator mouthing off on personnel matters at a Masonic lodge meeting would be inappropriate also. Perhaps my Lions and Rotary examples should have been Masonic lodge. Either way, my point is made.

If this is for real and USM OFFICIALS/DEANS are presenting/speaking, THEY are representing Southern Miss.
"Shaping the media reporting?" I have no idea whether this agenda is a hoax, but if real, this particular item seems uniquely suited for Lisa's mentor, Dr. Joseph Goebbels.
I continue to maintain that the friends and faculty of USM could benefit from some media shaping activities of their own.
