Is it just me, or is Doty coming off much more Presidential right now than Shelby Thames?  First, he saves the U from certain SACS death by stopping the Malone train re the exMBA on the Coast.  Second, he's being handed 7-digit checks from important benefactors.  Third, he's on tv speaking about new Centers (econ ed).

DOTY MAY LOOK PRESIDENTIAL
BUT HE'S RARELY ABLE TO SUSTAIN
ANYTHING EXCEPT A PROVINCIAL
ATTITUDE, CAUSING DISDAIN

Doty is professional. He has done good things for USM of late. He does not need to be president. I would like a president who is a NICE person, along with all the other qualities we need (like, oh, say -- having a clue.)
