THUMBS UP: To the announcement Monday that BearingPoint Inc. has selected Hattiesburg as the site for a computer software development facility.
The company, one of the world's largest business consulting firms, plans to hire 275 software developers over a three-year period.
According to Angie Dvorak, president of the Area Development Partnership, Hattiesburg was one of four finalists the company had selected for the location.
"This is a big deal," said Dvorak. "This is a signature company. This is a world-class company."
Here's hoping that this is a real coup for the Hattiesburg area. But it appears that the gang does have a very limited descriptive vocabulary.
I think politicians call this staying on message. If you say the same thing over and over, people will begin to believe you. I think this is a good example of the use of tenacity and authority as means to disseminate knowledge.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the process for bringing in BearingPoint initiated well prior to the time she came on board? If that is the case, the Hattiesburg American studiously avoided making mention of it.
