The Sun Herald needed to get caught up on the story, and is taking this occasion to do it.

I don't think we're going to see Sun Herald editorials against Thames, but the news blackout in his favor is definitely over.

I hope this link works. Here's a related article called "Controversy Follows Thames" from today's S-H. IMHO, I thought it came across as a little favorable to Thames, despite the title. Then again, I'll admit that I'm no longer an objective judge of anything the S-H prints.

I think it is just that no one is willing to speak up against him. I was actually surprised to see a comment from a faculty member speaking out against him. It is hard to make an article unfavorable when most of the quotes are from supporters.
