Ya know, there's a difference between being a troll and being an ass. I know they're intersecting sets, and "Whodunit," I have no idea whether you're a troll, but you're certainly an ass. James Green, whatever you may think of his coaching skills, is a class act. You sir, are not.

Yeah. Way to go. Get rid of a quality coach who won 75% of his home games and had a decent road record while recruiting players to come play in a glorified high school gym with low-quality locker rooms, support facilities, etc. Green had no budget to work with and little or no support from the Thames administration. Yet, he managed to have winning seasons (even with someone else's players), and he didn't recruit a bunch of players with bad character.
In short, Green was the anti-Eustachy.
USM fans will get what they deserve. Eustachy is 10-16 and will most likely end the season 10-18 with a 10-game losing streak. What's worse, three of those 10 wins came against NAIA schools (Bellhaven, Spring Hill, William Carey). To make matters worse, Eustachy ran off the team's best player, telling him that his scholarship would be pulled at the end of the year. Eustachy airs team matters in the press. His language is horrible.
If Eustachy wins, it will be because of a severely weakened C-USA. Right now, C-USA is a respectable top-level conference. Once the league is reformed next year, C-USA will be a joke...USM will wish they were in the MAC, because C-USA will be a mid-major conference.
USM fans will get what they deserve----a coach and a basketball program as classless as the USM president that hired him.
Didn't Coach Green quit before the season and refused to even coach the Senior Game? Didn't he quit days beforethe NCAA dropped its investigative hammer?

You really need to check your stats. It was more like 60% and his road record was nowhere near "decent." The players do not complain about the locker rooms, especially when they are coming from highschool with highschool lockers as their only comparison. You also have a shortsighted definition of what constitutes a "winning season." There is also alot more to the "pulling of the scholarship" that you are not mentioning here.
As far as your "bad character" remarks, I have a report on file at the USM PD from about 4 years ago against one of Greene's good ol' boys who stole one of my video games out of my car that I left unlocked in front of the Payne Center. But this is not enough for me to form a credible opinion about character. I doubt you have even less evidence to do the same.

About four years ago, huh? Does this mean you are no longer a student and just trolling around the board? Or, does this mean your're on the five year plan?

By extrapolation, sports fans who know little about the academic world except what they perceived as undergraduates need to speak little of things inside the academic world.
If that sounds unreasonable, then maybe your statement was unreasonable, too.
Eustachy will be history sooner than you think. I hope I'm wrong, because LE needs to prove to the world that he has "reformed", that he is able to win games without the benefit of Tim Floyd's recruiting & also because USM doesn't need the embarrassment of another abysmal season like the one LE has just engineered.
Help me out with some fact checking????....Isn't Coach Green divorced??....and doesn't he live on his farm outside of Brookhaven????...Do you think that maybe you have confused Coach Green with Coach Nix and Family??....Nix has taken a job in SC...As far as I know, Green has not...
Possibly -- I was relying on the neighbor telling me that was Coach Green's house, so maybe it was Nix. I am so sorry -- should have checked, but this neighbor usually knows everything about everybody!!
I insisted that Miss de Guerre do some extensive research, to wit, opening the Hattiesburg telephone directory, and my, oh, my, is her face ever red. It was the Nix moving van, and not the Green moving van. Apologies all around. I've asked her to be more scholarly in the future.

Personal Assistant,
There used to be a very savy poster on this board who went by the name Jean Moulin. A person by the name of Jean Moulin was a courageous member of the French Resistance during World War II. Ask your boss, Monique,de Guerre, if she or he is really the former Jean Moulin but now posting under the even classier name of Monique de Guerre.
