I post under a ton of names here depending on the subject matter. My original posts were as PO'd EDU major.

I am a student, I could give a rat's a** about Glamser or Stringer, I am in this for myself. I am sick of SFT's crap, and that of his daughter. I started at USM a year before SFT took over (I am a non-traditional student that is why I am STILL here,lol) I have seen the CISE dept go from a great dept, to a complete joke. My education is suffering, and I would go elsewhere but I am too close to graduation. None of this really affected me until I got into my last two semesters, by then it was too late since most universities have rules governing that your last X-amount of hours be taken there. Until SFT is gone I will continue to turn as many people away from USM as I can. So far I have gotten 6 to do so, and I consider "turning them away" being complete when they register at another univ. THese folks are going to WIlliam Carey.

Both of my parents are alums of this school and are so saddened to see what it has become. I realise SFT will always have supporters but don't think for a second your only opposition is former professors

I hope you will encourage your parents to write letters to the papers and to the IHL.  After all, the papers and the IHL will be hearing from Mr. Johnson.

During the last two days alone, there have been between 20 to 50 viewers logged on at any given time. Immeditely before I posted this, I scrolled down to the bottom of the first message board page and found 27 viewers. And it is right in the middle of dinnertime!

DON'T FEED THE TROLLS

It isn't worth it.  Let them have their own beliefs, no matter how misguided the rest of us think they are.  By ignoring them we take the wind right out of their sails.  Its like that bully back in the 5th grade, ignore him, he goes away.

Patti,

One value in feeding the trolls is that we reveal how shallow their arguments (which is way too kind a word) are; any objective outside observer looking at this board would see that all the good arguments are on our side.  The trolls NEVER take up any serious challenge to defend Shelby Thames.  What are they afraid of?

Perhaps they outwardly fight for their own version of the truth, but inwardly they are fighting to defend the paths they've chosen to determine their moral compasses. Oh, the horror, the horror.

A friend of mine at the Sun Herald said she has had no article submitted from a WJ Johnson. Also, there is no WJ Johnson registered as an alumni. The only WJ Johnson in Gulfport died 3 years ago. I suspect this poster was very misleading with us.
