No, I was being half-sarcastic...just wanted documentation that someone thought I was a "cerebral babe" to hang on my bulletin board at work.  In no way do I speak for the Vanderbilt Board of Trust, Chancellor Gee, Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt, or any other Vanderbilt-related entity.


You do know that Vandy's colors are black and gold, too?  That's about the extent of the similarities between USM and Vandy, though.

And that's exactly how it was first intended, as an honor.  I cannot think of three more worthy recipients than LVN, Truth, and Emma.  And a post script--don't forget to add this distinction to your respective vitae.  It could translate to serious money if and when any of you decide to change employment.

Thank you, thank you. I have been persuaded by wise & worthy friends that I was over-reacting this morning. Note to self: coffee first, then computer. I do appreciate the kindness and consideration involved. Once again my family will be stunned and dubious ("are you sure they meant you?)
