The crystal ball is clearing, but the news is not good for USM.

With three games remaining, the Golden Eagles have fallen to 10-15 overall and 1-12 in C-USA play. The remaining games are

@East Carolina
@UNC-Charlotte
TCU

The only hope for USM to make the C-USA Tournament would be for the Eagles to overtake S. Florida and East Carolina in the standings (both teams sit at 3-9 currently in C-USA play). Winning out would do a world of good for the USM collective ego as well as give them their only shot at the tournament. Don't look for that to happen, however. As of this post, ECU has a 1-game winning streak, while Charlotte has won its last 4 and TCU its last three. TCU could be the best chance for a win (at home), but the Eagles could be catching the Horned Frogs at just the wrong time.

The crystal ball is showing USM losing out, and is therefore still showing USM sitting in Hattiesburg, watching the C-USA tournament on TV. I can also see the newly-acquired USM plane (can't see tail #s) flying to the midwest for recruiting as soon as the first week in March.

It's getting very sad. I just noticed that the Iowa State Cyclones took down #2 Kansas in the Fog, unbelievable. That coach that took over for Eustachy is doing some tremendous things there, even following Eustachy's 29-32 final 2 years there. USM got the wrong ISU coach it seems.

I agree, C-P R. Iowa State had Tim Floyd, who didn't work miracles but who got Eustachy his talent. Then, Eustachy comes along and wins with Floyd's talent, then loses with his own talent, then gets fired. Now the new guy has been winning for two years with Eustachy's talent...the same talent Eustachy lost with his last year in Ames.
