Everyone seems to be citing negative occurrences during the past two or three years. What about positive occurrences? What progress has USM made during the period in question? Nothing negative, please. Be serious. I'll begin:
Enrollment has increased by something like 90 to 100 students.
So there's #4. Thanks, ram. Now I'm going to lay low and not moderate. As posters come up with #5 and beyond, it would be helpful if they were numbered. So how about #5?

Whatever for? And what do you mean by "USM"? The self-touting administration, or someone/thing else? And has enrollment really "increased" by X students if enrollment hasn't kept up with population growth? And if USM doesn't have adequate facilities for extra students, why is that progress? It certainly isn't any good for the students.

Actuarily, I just thought it might be appropriate to give trolls, lurkers, and posters an opportunity to give "the other side of the story" if they can come up with anything positive. I haven't seen anything of consequence yet. Have you?

What a surprise.
Advocates of "the other side of the story" have had nearly a year to publish it on this message board + FireShelby. They haven't been forthcoming.
And we've made the widely viewed cartoons of the Clarion-Ledger's Marshall Ramsey. Maybe the first college or university to ever be given that distinction.
The lazy faculty members that we see mentioned in the letter section of the newspapers finally have something to do: undoing the neglegance cause by prior administrative neglect.
