I am about to revisit my old theme the "in-breeding rule." I was told on several occasions not to bother applying for faculty positions at USM, because my doctorate is from USM. And plenty of folks here upheld that rule when I brought it up on the FireShelby board.
Is this a distinction for world class unique start-up one-of-a-kind programs: that they can hire USM graduates? Hell, Malone's doctorate is from USM & he's evidently a professor & department chair.

From Webster's Glossary:
human error < what Shelby Thames calls a "mistake" made by a mid-level administrator who is asked by upper administration to do something bad, though he does so only after the public finds out about it and the whole scheme falls apart.

Just remember, when SCM makes a mistake on that webpage he manages, it's not "human" error, it's "rancid dairy product" error

Now, now, Invictus, the rules change fast around here. Depends on what benefits who. If the USM school colors are changed form black and gold to soylant green, our convience-oriented policies suggest that the school song be changed to this:
Undecided
You say yes Then it's no You say you'll stay Then you go Your undecided now So what are you going to do
First you say you do and then you don't And then you say you will and then you won't Your undecided now So what are you gonna to do
Now you want to play And then it's no And when you say you'll stay That's when you go Your undecided now So what are you gonna to do
I've been sitting on a fence And it doesn't make much sense 'Cause you keep me in suspense And you know it You promise to return When you don't I really burn Well I guess I'll never learn And I show it
If your gotta heart And if you're kind Then don't keep us apart Make up your mind Your undecided now So what are you gonna to do
First you say you do then you don't No you don't And then you say you will and then you won't No you won't Your undecided now So what are you gonna to do

Can anyone explain why USM, represented by Shelby Thames and Ken Malone, can apparently continue to violate all known federal, state, and university system hiring policies? Where is the federal government in their oversight responsibility to monitor and hold accountable those that openly violate the employment laws?

It's been said previously here that the IHL Board has no rules for hiring to administrative positions at all. In other words, "Thames job searches" are just peachy with them.
But hiring to faculty positions is another matter. And Malone claims to be a faculty member. Most of the time, anyway...
