HMMMM.  As extreme as this idea may sound,  a faculty "work stoppage" with respect to the SACS catch-up assignments would ultimately leave the IHL with a large and very expensive unaccredited state university.  Are they willing to let this happen just to save Shelby?  Actually it wouldn't even have to be an obvious stoppage.  Just a well orchestrated foot dragging, providing plausible denial if anyone were accused of being insubordinate or uncooperative.  Worthy of further consideration, to be sure, and reminiscent of the 60's, if any of you are old enough to remember those golden days.
