The Award-Winning Dr. Ken Malone

Take a look at today's HA (2/16/2005), page 4B.  There is a full-page spread on the 32nd Annual Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award Recipients, sponsored by the Hattiesburg American and smei of Hattiesburg.  Amongst all the bankers, university presidents, telecomm managers, realtors, and healthcare providers sits the mug of one Dr. Ken Malone.  He is listed as simply "University of Southern Mississippi."

How did you guys get so lucky to get him?  Notice the name of the award.  Distinguished ... Marketing Award.  And you guys were complaining about his credentials to teach business.  Sounds to me like he's deserving of being called an award-winning business educator.  Perhaps he would help, rather than hinder, efforts a AACSB accreditation.

Good for him. I saw it. Thing is, he's got a PhD in polymer science. He can't teach business courses. He can't be chair of a business department.

Does anyone know who this group is?

As long as I'm bitchin' & moanin', did anyone see all the ads for jobs at ADP? There were ads for about four or five positions. Are these new or is AD working her magic?

Is Hattiesburg just completely "s-n-a-f-u" right now, or what?

No, because the "n" stands for normal, and it is not normal.

BTW, I'm from Memphis, but MB is not me.

The noblest of all dogs is the hot dog.

It feeds the hand that bites it.

Scientists announced that they have located the gene for alcoholism. Scientists say they found it at a party, talking way too loudly.
