You continue to be an astute and stalwart supporter of what is right academically. See today's HA. There are POWERFUL forces afoot. Some letters don't get sent; they get discussed.
Back during the Glamser-Stringer affair, I remember that a talk show in Mississippi (I believe it was a televised show) devoted a fair amount of time to the controversy, even interviewing Roy Klumb. Has that show, or have any other shows, devoted any attention at all to the latest mess? I would love to see someone ask Klumb, to his face and on TV, about the conspiracy theory rumors. Is there ANY chance that that will ever happen? I would love to see (or at least hear reports of) his facial expressions and body language. Is there any chance that the HA will ever sit him down for an interview and ask him that question? I KNOW, of course, he would that he would verbally deny the rumors, but I suspect that his body language and facial expressions would speak more truthfully than his tongue.
Wasn't it Dr. Campbell who suggested a win-win outcome for the IHL board would be to make Dr. Richard Crofts the interim president while the situation at USM gets under control? Let's hope this is an idea under consideration today during the closed door executive session. Dr. Crofts is now ostensibly in charge of overseeing the SACS issue for the university, perhaps all the new revelations will mean he needs to be more directly in control.

That would sure demonstrate to SACS that IHL is serious about conforming to SACS criteria and will do what it takes to avoid continued probationary status.
