The food must be better in the Hub now than it was when I was a student.

Maybe because he has been told he better stay the heck away from CoB and let the dust settle? Now that Shelby has issued his Crofts-ordered memorandum stating that control of the MBA, hybrid MBA, ExMBA or whatever else is completely under the control of the CoB faculty, there is little reason for Jay-boy to show up in Greene Hall.

When I was there it was great down-home Southern cooking, all you can eat. Students traditionally put on a few after living on campus their first year. There are occasions now when it is good, but I do miss the days of old when one of the staff there invited me to her house for Thanksgiving to have turkey neckbones. I didn't opt to do that, but all these many years later I still remember the invite.

Sick Day,
Thanks for telling us the story. I am sure it must have been a great time. I can feel it.
I no longer go to on-campus cafeterias. Commons used be ok and even my family liked to come occasionally. Since aramek took over, the price went up, the quality of food has gone down, the service is just terrible. They used to offer me more food or asked me to try something. Now, I cannot even get more than one piece of d*mn chicken.
What kind of idiot says that we are better off now? I am sorry falks. I am just angry as always...
nkob--i don't eat at the campus cafeterias, but i have several colleagues who do. they all report that although the price has gone up, the food quality is better.

Two or three years ago the best on-campus place to eat was the cafeteria in Elam Arms. But I seldom saw very many other faculty members there.
