I just figured this would be a typical response from the dome. Course maybe they won't fire Doty...he will likely testify against them in the discrimination lawsuit.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Monday's Cabinet meeting. Think Doty will go, or will he send Farhang for another verbal thrashing? Since it will be February 14, it has the potential to be a St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Also, keep in mind the IHL Board will be meeting on Thursday, February 17 at the Board office. Probably not good timing to come back and remove Doty the next day.
could he argue that since he blew the whistle on gender discrimination in his letter than his firing now would be retaliation and therefore protected by EEO related laws?
Is gender discrimination purely civil, or does it have a criminal component? At the very least, Doty is exposing a conspiracy. Isn't it considered worse if a group of people get together and decide to circumvent the law, than if one person does it alone??
You may be thinking of DC Eagle. I think Austin Eagle is a scientist. I started a thread the other day asking where he is. He's been uncharacteristically silent -- hope all is well.

Whistle blower,,,,,,,,,,yes."
I'm not sure about that. If he reports the violation to EEOC then he may have whistleblower status. Pointing it out to his supervisor probably does not give him protection under the whistleblower laws.
Somebody refresh my memory--did the gender discrimination suggested by Doty happen before or after Thames and co. tried to get rid of Becky W., the Affirmative Action officer? Perhaps she knew about it.
