Lowering the drinking age

Given the tragic events on campus recently, no one is serious about lowering the drinking age on campus to 18 years old, are they?

Yes, of course. This kind of thing can/will happen regardless of what the legal drinking age is.

The University has revoked Kappa Sig's charter and closed their house.

As an aside, the Kappa Sigs at Ole Miss lost their charter due to alcohol violations a couple of years ago. It was a national sanction for having "community alcohol" (i.e., keg of beer) & not checking IDs. Every member had to reapply before a national review board at the end of their probation period. Several officers were denied readmission.

OTOH, I attended USM in the daze of the 18 year old drinking age. The stuff we did would probably get us put in Parchman today. (Of course, the stuff I did in high school with explosives would probably land me in Guantanamo today weirdface)
