Any of you guys on site how a sense of how this is playing out in the community?

Everyone I speak to is just sick of it - can't figure out why it's taking so long to fix.  Even supporters of Shelby are saying that there shouldn't be one controversy after another.

Strange interview on WDAM at 6.  SFT says: (1) "I don't plan to retire."  (2) "I am having fun." (3) "Can't please everybody." (4) "Anybody can see that we're doing great things at Southern Miss.  Look at the buildings and the improved food service." (5) "I'm going to keep moving world class Southern Miss forward."

It used to be about his "prized possessions."  Now it's about having fun and selling coffee.

Is anybody else having fun?

Oh, Man, are you on target!

"Is anyone else having fun?"

Fun is not how anyone except Thames could describe this situation! Amazing to me!

"Refusing" to read the motion from Faculty Senate and "not knowing" what the faculty has against him in an earlier interview... of course that is all for the paper. He'll read the motion. He knows why we hate his presidency. He knows that he is under the gun come April at IHL.

For him to be so casual about his burning dome is just awesome. Awe inspiring. I am in awe of this little guy! He can create such a huge amount of pain with so little brain power. I understand he has some brain power in a certain area and that made him rich. WE are not rich. WE don't want to be rich. OUR education and interests go beyond the pursuit of a dollar. "are you not better off, aren't you making more money?" If that is the beginning and end of Thames' evaluation of his accomplishments, he is the most shallow, heartless and pitiful man ever placed in such a powerful position.
