Kay James was one of USM's earlier losses under an earlier administration. She was a great lady. And she was loyal to the institution. Women's basketball here was exciting back then. Her demise helps support the notion that USM has not seemed to recognize talent even when it it right before its eyes. (But I hope that all of the new street names will not pertain solely to athletics).
