The Department of Economic & Workforce Development is listed on the USM web pages, but not in the 2004-2005 graduate bulletin. Does anyone know when/how this department was formed? Did it go through a college review? Academic Council? Only two of the four faculty members (Malone and Miller) are listed in the graduate catalog, and Malone is listed as an assistant professor. The website has Malone as a professor. Is that correct? Edwards is listed as the director of the master's program. Is he a member of the graduate faculty? Annulis is in the undergraduate catalog as an assistant professor, but it says she has a master's degree. Has she since finished her Ph.D.?

Incredulous,

All of these faculty appointments and promotions appear to have been made by presidential fiat.

Unless Thames has delegated that power to Malone.  In that case they were done by Kenbotic fiat.

And they've kept on doing this when they know that SACS is watching.
