Under the following assumptions: 1) We want Thames removed from the dome. 2) Anything that makes Thames look good prolongs our agony. 3) We are willing to act rationally to achieve our end.
What tactics could be used to get him out? There is a poll posted asking about the most drastic course of action one would be willing to take, but I am asking about courses of action that could be taken as daily activities that could throw a wrench in Thames' plans/activities.
Track and expose every single lie - he's getting tangled up in his own web of deceit - the noose is tightening and his administration is getting sloppy.

The King is only in check if the rules are followed. And what you call the "King" is just a pawn, actually. The real King's representative stated pretty conclusively yesterday that any "rules" are going to be ignored. Everything is proceeding according to plan. The chessboard will be overturned shortly.

Invictus, you may be right and if you are then it doesn't make sense for the faculty to even bother. I would rather see one final push before conceding to your dismal conclusion.
If the IHL Board is going to overturn the chessboard, then they should be made to do it now, in public, under the spotlights, while SACS is watching.

PS. Will the Hattiesburg American continue its present editorial policy of "faculty must knuckle under to Thames, so his local backers will be happy" if the Board publicly reveals its intentions of tearing USM down?
"These principles can be reduced to a single phrase, the indirect approach, and two fundamentals:
Direct attacks against an enemy firmly in position almost never work and should never be attempted
To defeat the enemy one must first upset his equilibrium, which is not accomplished by the main attack, but must be done before the main attack can succeed."

Chess - good to see you again. Can you elaborate any? I know asking may be a losing proposition but you could still be (a little bit) cryptic...... It sounds like you have some information..... NO QUARTER!
End game is not complete until there is Resignation, Stalemate, or Checkmate so anything can still happen BUT it is only fair play to announce "Check" when the opponents King has been placed in jeopardy...and he has been.

I didn't say that it would be IHL that overturns the chessboard. Why would IHL overturn the chessboard when all is going according to plan? But the chessboard is going to be overturned. Chicken Soup Lady has come the closest to describing what I think will overturn the chessboard...

CSL, my guess is that Invictus was referring to this post of yours on the HA:Klumb says Thames Stays thread from 9 days ago.
"Klumb says they have NO backup plan? They have an almost 70 year old president with a bad heart and nobody has a clue what they would do if he keeled over?? They would have to shut down USM??"
