Could you give us a synopsis in a few sentences?

There was an image of this ad on the website for the PhD in International Development. I too was amazed at the mention of the football team. They paid $85K for the ad and didn't have it professionally written.

Yes, check it out on the website linked to the front page...oops it's not there anymore!

It's still there, but I can't read the print at the bottom of the page.

Here's what I can read:

(headline) On campus, online, on the cutting edge of global thinking

You don't have to leave your job to join an accredited Ph.D. program.  Our students can be found throughout North America pursuing doctoral degrees while developing careers and raising families.

The Ph.D. program in International Development at The University of Southern Mississippi is an intensive yet flexible program focusing on international policy and development for working professionals.  To learn more, visit www.usm.edu/international or contact our enrollment specialist at 228-865-4599, or by email at international@usm.edu.

(bottom of the page--very blurry on the PDF)  The University of Southern Mississippi is an accredited Carnegie Research Extensive University, is ranked as a Southern Regional Education Board (something I can't read), and is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  We also have a fine (?) football tradition--Conference USA champions in 2003 and New Orleans Bowl Champions in 2004!

[my comment:  How perfectly great!]

Where did you find it?
Also, I noted that the SACS logo is still there. Didn't someone point out that schools are not allowed to use that logo?

It's on the International Development website (just Google "international development" on the main USM page).

The IDV PhD program was linked on the main USM webpage for about the past month - it is no longer there as of today.  It was prominently highlighted right next to the SACS probation update box.

And what a perfectly great place to put the IDV program (next to the SACS probation box, that is)!
