You are spot on about the facsen president being a weak sister. Thames couldn't hardly have done better in that regard.

Asked what might be at the core of faculty members' criticisms, Thames said he didn't know. Instead he urged faculty members to consider if they are better off now - if they make more money - than before he was named president in April 2002.

"If they would just ask those questions then I think they're going to find out they're better off than they were three years ago," Thames said.

Faculty aren't prostitutes, Shelby.

I wasn't saying that the current Faculty Senate President carries water for Thames. A few faculty members still do.

And don't you think that if the Faculty Senate rises to the occasion now, it will be forgiven its moment of weakness back in May and June?
