Thames will get the College Board's approval in April


That leads to 4 more years afterward.


He will be the pilot of the ship (or jet!) that leads USM to SACS DE-accreditation.


College Board must pick up the pieces of their problem. They now have a major unaccredited school on their hands.


Recruiting of students at USM as well as all other MS state schools suffers


Recruiting of faculty at all MS universities trickles to a halt.


Thames continues to say, "Are you not making more money now than before? We are all looking forward, not behind. I cannot understand why a few people, some of them connected with that AAUP Union in Mississippi, are concentrating on negativity instead of focusing on the fact that I raised their salaries."


College of Business goes to MSU.  USM Libraries continues to not order any new books for 4 years and other accreditations capsize. Enrollment does not meet expectations - many realize that an online degree can come from anywhere, regardless of physical location, and opt to got to places other than USM because there is no logical reason not to.


Senior faculty escape en masse. There is no one left to perform proper evaluations. Ken Malone escapes to develop a polymer that ejects students from vehicles when they park in faculty spots. Gregg Lassen takes over and implements an on-campus lottery that saves the university but costs the parents dearly.

The distinguished junior faculty will not stay. Heck, many of the potential junior faculty will cross USM right off the list with the University of West Alabama and Phoenix. We can document the lies and the deceptions. I will never encourage a junior faculty member to apply at USM - I still consider my word to be good.  We've seen many of the best junior faculty leave (or be run off if they were free thinkers). Shellgames Fretheuniversity Thampetureisrising needs to go.
