Too funny. The banner ad at the top of this page links to graduate programs in economic and international development at the University of San Franciso. The program is taught by real economists and there was nary a mention of questionnaires or snacks.
The new digs for econ development might be a suitable location for those banners obscuring the dormitory windows. Before remounting them, however, they might want to consider applying Scotch Guard.
From the January 9 Sun-Herald: "Over the past 100 years our city has been known as the trucking center of the South, the radish capital of America, home of the prestigious Gulf Park College for Women, now the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park."
Long Beach is the radish capital of America? The truck driving center of the South? Two overlooked opportunities for USM and right at our back door. Truck drivers make a pretty fair living they are interesting, honest, and know where the good coffee can be found. A good truck driving school would fit in just dandy with our evolving mission. And radishes! Number 1 again. No wonder USM is attractive to Mississippi State University.
