I have to agree with Austin and others on the "Thames-termination". Basically, the facts are these as I see them:
1) Shelby will NEVER voluntarily step-down.
2) The board may push, but they are more likely to let him serve out his time until contract renewal comes up.
3) If he is not outright fired in January (highly unlikely as I see it), then the SACS deadline becomes one month closer, and they will not risk changing horses(a$$es) this close to the deadline.
So, the best scenario I can imagine is that Shelby serves out his contract. Obviously, if he is renewed due to his "SACS-save", then as a Richard Pryor once said - "Cancel Christmas".
