Now the facts are in: Probation for 12 months making USM select as a member of the one pecent of schools to be on probation, the ranking of USM at bottom of 4th tier for usnews, loss of 200 plus faculty in 2 years, over 90% vote of no confidence by faculty, and by the Fac Senate
It is now possible to allege conspiracy on the part of IHL, to call for cash damages, and to issue supeonas to uncover the facts behind the conspiracy to keep ST in power despite his clear inability to run an institution of higher learning. THe cash damages concern alumni giving, value of degree and many other items every lawyer can list. Athletics supporters etc can allege the same consipiracy on the part of IHL, issue the same supeonas and claim monetary damages, too.
The burden to prove a conspiracy on the part of the plaintiff is no longer very hard to sustain as the past two years make clear.
OF course, deriliction of duty on the part of the IHL is another kind of lawsuit, too. The damage is done, folks, time to go to court...

If I believed I had good cause for litigation I would use a highly reputable firm with no connection whatsoever to USM. I know at least one good one in the Hub City, and I would see if he could take the case. But he wouldn't, I'd try to find help elsewhere. I once consulted a local attorney about a USM matter, only to find out too late that the attorney's connection to USM was much cozier than I though it was. I am not referring to Kim C. This was quite many years ago.
And are you referring to Bud Holmes? JUST A JOKE!!!
It's time to take our university back. "Our" refers to students, alumni, faculty, staff - it can refer to administration when they're ready to put the best interests of USM ahead of their own.
